Most hair loss in men, and much of it in women, is driven by DHT, a hormone made from testosterone that shrinks hair follicles over time. Finasteride blocks the enzyme that converts testosterone to DHT. Applied to the scalp, it lowers DHT where the follicles are while limiting how much reaches the rest of the body.
Minoxidil widens blood vessels and is studied for extending the growth phase of the hair cycle, so more follicles are actively producing hair at any one time. Topical minoxidil is the most studied hair loss treatment there is.
Finasteride lowers the hormone associated with follicle miniaturization.
Minoxidil may support thicker, fuller hair.
Formulated so less finasteride reaches the bloodstream than the oral form.
Both treatments in a single daily step.

What the solution does over time.

Day 1
Finasteride begins lowering DHT in the scalp, the hormone that shrinks hair follicles, while minoxidil supports blood flow to the scalp.

Some temporary shedding is normal as follicles reset into a new growth phase.

3 Months
Shedding typically slows as more follicles move into active growth.

6 Months
New growth and improved density may become visible.

1 Year and Beyond
Full results are typically assessed at 12 months, and continued use maintains them.
