The Science of BPC-157

BPC-157 is a 15-amino-acid fragment of a protein found in human gastric juice, where it is thought to help protect the stomach lining. Its name, body protection compound, comes from that role.

In research, BPC-157 is studied for supporting angiogenesis, the growth of new blood vessels that carry oxygen and nutrients to injured tissue, and for its effect on tendon-to-bone junctions, which heal slowly because they have so little blood supply. It has also been studied for the gut lining and for a balanced inflammatory response.
